Cookie Baking Extravaganza!

Hi, it's Evelyn! Today Meredith came over and we had a "Cookie Baking Extravaganza"! We made chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter blossoms, (she calls them kissy cookies), and gingerbread. What type of cookies do you like to bake?

After making the batter; and eating a little bit of it too, (don't tell), we put the cookies in the oven.  I took so long taking pictures of the cookies that they began to burn! Oops. Mer was a little annoyed, but she just doesn't understand the sacrifices that come with the fine art of photography. 

We had to let the cookies cool for a little while, (which felt like a long time but was really only five minutes). The entire house was filled with the scent of cookies, (and a slight burning smell, because I am not a professional chef) which made us unbearably hungry! To distract ourselves, Meredith and I attempted cartwheels across the kitchen. She is a much better gymnast than I am!

Some of our cookies got a little burnt, so we had to scrape them off the pans after they cooled. It was worth the messy dishes though; the cookies tasted great!
